Date Kyoko -Love Communication-

Before Hatsune Miku, there was Date Kyoko, the world's first virtual (idol) artist. Codenamed DK-96 or Digital Kid 1996, she was not real but was created from the computer. This was her first CD Single. It was a Hybrid PC/Mac CD-ROM.

On the obi, it listed the Extra Track as the CD-ROM content. The music video of the titled song used a blend of live-action scenes and the computer generated character. The resolution was set at 600 x 480 and the background appeared to be New York (but probably was not). The photo album included five CG images. On the profile, the following items were listed: name, professional name, place of birth, height, measurements, foot size, eyesight, horoscope sign, blood type, favorite flower, favote colors, Home Page (which no longer works), and a brief summary of her background. Its interesting to note the text was given in two language: Japanese and English.

When the CD was inserted into a regular CD Player, there are three tracks that can be played. All three were of the titled song. The first one was the same rendition of the music video. The second one had a slightly slower tempo. The third track was a karaoke of the first track.

Product ID was HAZL-1. It was published by Victor Entertainment and released in 11/21/1996. UPC Bar Code - 519672 000011. It was priced at Y1000. Total length of the CD was 12:48.
