Kimagure Orange☆Road ETERNAL COLLECTION SOUND COLOR BOX

 

The Kimagure Orange Road CD Box came in a LD size box. It measured 315 x 315 x 17 mm. It included 9 mini CDs.

 

 

 

It included a 60 page booklet of the artwork from the series. There was no text on any of it except the cover  All the artwork was done by Akemi Takada.  Until it was reprinted years later in various art books, this was for a long time the only place where you could find a lot of the art work of the series.  This item alone was the reason why this box set sold for a high price.

 

 

 

This was the two page foldout included all the track listings and the lyrics for the songs.

Kimagure Orange☆Road Singing Heart² sweet memories

The Kimagure Orange Road CD Box came in a LD size box. It measured 325 x 325 x 30 mm. It included seven CDs which spanned the entire Orange Road Series, from the TV Series to the OVAs and to the 1988 Movie. It also included a LD size booklet and six calendar sheets. In addition, each CD had a different tint color added to them. All the artwork was done by Akemi Takada.




The booklet (image above) measured 299 x 300 mm. It was 20 pages in length. Pages 1-4 was made up of track listings. Pages 5-7 and pages 14-19 was titled Lyric Sheet. Pages 8-13 was titled Kimagure Orange Road Disco Graphy. It included color images scans of nine of other Kimagure Orange Road CDs.




Inside the box, in a seperate bag was the six calendar sheets. Each measured 300 x 300 mm.




The calender sheets each covered two months from the 1994 Calendar Year.

Kimagure Orange Road CDV 1

Perhaps one among the rarest Kimagure Orange Road collectibles, the CDVs (CD format Video disc playable only in LD players) were relatively inexpensive. The first CDV had four audio tracks and four short music videos which can be played in any LD player. On the first one, it had the the first OP, the first and the second ED video. In addition, it had the first bumper (or eye catch!) intermission. The videos were identical to the TV version except there was no credits overlapping the animation. Unlike the Nausicaa and the Laputa CDVs, these were packed in a clear, thin flimsy case but were pressed on a gold layer CD.

Product ID was CTV24-106. It was published by Toemi Video and released on 2/5/1988. UPC Bar Code - 4988 006 2387. It was priced at Y2328. Total length of the CD was 16:43 (audio).
