Satoshi Urushihara Illustrations - Legend of Langrisser Book

Langrisser was a popular strategy game in Japan during the 1990s. It appeared on various game consoles including the Super Famicon (SNES), Playstation (PSX), and Saturn. Satoshi Urushihara, who was known for his other works from Plastic Little and Legend of Lemnear, did the character design for the Langrisser series of games. This book covered his beautiful artwork from this game. Except for the last seven pages, the book was all in color. Page 5-28 covered Langrisser III. Pages 29-40 was from Langrisser I. Pages 41-56 covered Langrisser IV. Pages 57-69 was from the fifth and final Langrisser game. Pages 86-89, titled Opening Animation, showed opening animation sequence to one of the games. Pages 90-98 covered trading cards made for the various games. It included various special cards, including one rather revealing one. The last section, History of Langrisser, covered more background info on all the Langrisser games that have been released.

Shining Force III Artbook

In the waning days of the Sega Saturn, Sega Japan released the revolutionary Shining Force III game series. In was an incredible RPG game series that had a vast amount of characters and landscapes on the 3 discs that it covered. This book, which was all color, covered all three Shining Force Scenarios as was as the Holy Hark and the Premium Disc. At the beginning of the book was a double sided foldout. On one side, it had various central characters from the three scenarios gathered around a campfire in the snow. The other side had the image of the cover. Chapter I had various images that was used on various covers and other promotional art. The last few images were some SD CG artwork and some from the Holy Ark. The second chapter had sketch and various head-screenshots of the characters. It had 59 playable characters and 25 NPC or enemy characters listed. The World Chapter was mostly text filled section. It did include screenshots of some of the locations and maps. It also listed the various weapons and items from the games. The fourth chapter was a short one. It had some information on the character's name, the seiyuus, the opening animation, and other notes. Chapter five covered some information and sketches from the Shining Force Holy Ark game. In addition, it had images of the earlier Shining Force games that had appeared on the Mega Drive, Game Gear, and the Saturn. Chapter six covered information on the very limited and rare Premium Disc. The last chapter had some more interviews and images of other older Shining Force merchandise. It was unfortunate that the 2nd and third (as well as the Premium Disc) games was never translated by Sega of America.

Lunar The Silver Star & Eternal Blue

During the early 90s, a company called Game Arts released the first Lunar game on the Sega Mega Drive (Sega CD). It was very successful and led to a sequel as well as being redone on the Saturn, Sony Playstation (PSX), and the PSP. Except for chapter 3, Process, the entire book was color. The first two chapters was made up of color sketches and paintings of various characters and places from Lunar 2. Chapter 3 had some line art as well as interviews from the people who created Lunar. Chapter 4 had color images and sketches from Lunar The Silver Star Story. The last chapter was made up of various cel-art from both series. Some of them have been seen from promotional posters as well as game and CD covers.

Suchie-Pai Memorial

Kenichi Sonoda, who was best known for his work from Bubblegum Crisis, did the character designs for a mahjong game called Suchie-Pai. Later, after the successful release of this game on various platforms, an OVA was released based on the game. This book covered various artwork from the OVA as well from the game. The first 48 pages were color. Pages 4-16 covered various Suchie-Pai illustrations by Sonoda himself. Pages 18-48 had more images of specific characters that originated from the game and OVA. Some of the images originally appeared from the game. The last section, beginning page 49, covered b/w line art from all the characters from the World of Suchie-Pai.

Azel Panzer Dragoon RPG Complete Album

This was the soundtrack to the Sega Saturn third installment of Panzer Dragoon - Azel. The game also featured the voice Maaya Sakamoto as Azel (who unfortunately did not sing any songs for the game). There use to be a link on CD Japan (the page is no longer there) that indicated only 2000 were pressed. It was later reissued several years later with several additional tracks and slightly higher price.

Suchie-Pai Adventure Doki Doki Nightmare Official Guidebook

This book was a guidebook for the Suchie Pai Adventure Game. It was published after it was released on the Saturn but before the Playstation version. They later released another book that was for both versions.

The entire book was in color. At the end of the book, it included screenshots from previous Suchie Pai games. It included several NFSW images from the Suchie Pai Remix and II (Saturn version). The book measured 210 x 148 mm.

The first Suchie-Pai game appeared on the Playstation and Saturn in 1995. There were two versions of the Saturn while only one for the PSX. Following the successful game release Idol Janshi Suchie Paii II on the Saturn and the PSX, an OVA was released on the mahjong-based game. The character designs were done by Kenichi Sonoda, who was better known for his work in Bubblegum Crisis and Gall Force. At the front of the book was a two panel double sided foldout. la fillette révolutionnaire Utena Original Soundtrack Vol.6 - Selection Album - Reijin Nirvana Raiga ~Boku no Androgynous~ [Limited Edition]

This soundtrack was made up music from various Utena Soundtracks including the Sega Saturn game. There were two presses for this CD. The more expensive one came in a pink tinted case with a movie ticket for the Utena Movie (Y1300). The ticket was part of an outer foldout (cover for the booklet) that has an almost identical image as the booklet but was separate. The ticket I got and the one scanned above has ticket number 012482. The other, less expensive pressing was identical except it did not come with the movie ticket.

Suchie-Pai Tokuma Intermedia Mook

Unlike previous Suchie Pai books, this one included a CD-ROM. It could be used in either PC or Mac. The images can be viewed with a webbrowser. There were images from over 15 characters from the Suchie Pai Universe. Not counting the thumbs (preview) and the title images, there were a total of 389 high res images on the CD. The images originated from Suchie Pai Limited, Remix, II, II Limited, Throbbing Nightmare, Mecha Gentei-Ban, and Secret Album. The book complement the disc by displaying each image on the disc. On the last page of the book it had two double sided images that you can use for a CD case.

Suchie-Pai Adventure The Throbbing Nightmare Fanbook

The Suchie Pai Adventure Game was the third installment in the Suchie Pai game series. It was released on both the Playstation and Saturn. Unlike the previous two games, which were mostly just mahjong, this one was a text adventure game. The first 88 pages were color. It covered various artwork and screenshots from sixteen characters from the game. Most them had screenshots of a section titled Expressions, Nightmare, Character Collection, and Date Time. It had also had some color photos of the seiyuus as well as interview with them. The last two color pages had screenshots from the game opening. The black and white section had some sheet music to various songs from the game. In addition, there was a seven page interview with Kenichi Sonoda, who did the character designs.

Suchie-Pai II Art and Sketch Book

In 1996, Jaleco of Japan released a mahjong game titled Idol Jansi Suchie-Pai II on the Playstation and Saturn. Kenichi Sonoda, whos previous works include Bubblegum Crisis, Gall Force, and Gunsmith Cats, did the character designs for the game. Suchie-Pai II, though released on both systems, weren't completely identical. This book features various screen images used for the game and pointed out the differences between the two versions. The entire book was in color. The first 73 pages introduced all the characters you meet in the game. This includes Suchie-Pai / Kyoko Misaki, Peach-Pai / Alice Shinohara, Lemon-Pai / Tsukasa Ichimonji, Cherry-Pai / Sanae Makieda, Milky-Pai / Milk & Rumi Masaki, Yuki Sizuno, Shiho Katagiri, Cecial Derrnger, Miyuri Sakrai, and a few other characters you meet between rounds. Pages 76-79 pointed out the major differences between the two versions: PSX had 3 CDs (Saturn had 2 CDs) but the Saturn had frontal nudity (PSX considered "family" machine and does not allow any nudity). Pages 80-87 had interviews of the seiyuus from the game. Pages 88-89 were fan artwork. Pages 90-91 had sheet music to the OP song on the first disc. Page 93 had images of various promotional posters and merchandise, including little figures, idol cards, and CD. Pages 94-95 showed four images from the ending of each character you begin the game with. Also, at the beginning of the book, there was a double-sided foldout of the various the six main characters. One side is similar to the cover of the book.

Shining Force III Original Soundtrack

In 1998, Sega Japan released the revolutionary RPG series of Shining Force III for the Sega Saturn. It was divided into three separate games (and three separate discs) and told an intergal story from three different points of view. Following the release of the third game in the series, the soundtrack to the Shining Force III games was released. The music was composed and arranged Motoi Sakuraba. The first track was a combination of various themes into one track. The final three tracks were the different variations to the opening theme on each scenario. The remaining tracks were heard throughout all three games. On the back of the CD, the Camelot Software Planning logo was printed on it. Visiting the Camelot webpage (which no longer works) revealed there was an international version of this CD. It was titled Force of Light. However, there were only ten tracks. Obviously, if you wanted the complete soundtrack to the game, the Original Japanese Soundtrack was the way to go.
