Shining Force III Artbook

In the waning days of the Sega Saturn, Sega Japan released the revolutionary Shining Force III game series. In was an incredible RPG game series that had a vast amount of characters and landscapes on the 3 discs that it covered. This book, which was all color, covered all three Shining Force Scenarios as was as the Holy Hark and the Premium Disc. At the beginning of the book was a double sided foldout. On one side, it had various central characters from the three scenarios gathered around a campfire in the snow. The other side had the image of the cover. Chapter I had various images that was used on various covers and other promotional art. The last few images were some SD CG artwork and some from the Holy Ark. The second chapter had sketch and various head-screenshots of the characters. It had 59 playable characters and 25 NPC or enemy characters listed. The World Chapter was mostly text filled section. It did include screenshots of some of the locations and maps. It also listed the various weapons and items from the games. The fourth chapter was a short one. It had some information on the character's name, the seiyuus, the opening animation, and other notes. Chapter five covered some information and sketches from the Shining Force Holy Ark game. In addition, it had images of the earlier Shining Force games that had appeared on the Mega Drive, Game Gear, and the Saturn. Chapter six covered information on the very limited and rare Premium Disc. The last chapter had some more interviews and images of other older Shining Force merchandise. It was unfortunate that the 2nd and third (as well as the Premium Disc) games was never translated by Sega of America.

Shining Force III Original Soundtrack

In 1998, Sega Japan released the revolutionary RPG series of Shining Force III for the Sega Saturn. It was divided into three separate games (and three separate discs) and told an intergal story from three different points of view. Following the release of the third game in the series, the soundtrack to the Shining Force III games was released. The music was composed and arranged Motoi Sakuraba. The first track was a combination of various themes into one track. The final three tracks were the different variations to the opening theme on each scenario. The remaining tracks were heard throughout all three games. On the back of the CD, the Camelot Software Planning logo was printed on it. Visiting the Camelot webpage (which no longer works) revealed there was an international version of this CD. It was titled Force of Light. However, there were only ten tracks. Obviously, if you wanted the complete soundtrack to the game, the Original Japanese Soundtrack was the way to go.
